Description
We came across a box of discontinued CorkCore flooring and we’re putting it to good use! CorkCore is a high-quality, sustainable material with a waterproof top and a scratch-proof bottom — perfect for coasters.
The coasters are 3.75″ by 3.75″ and 1/4″ thick. The corners and edges are hand-sanded and safe for kids. The coasters can easily be wiped clean with a mild surface cleaner.
Cork is a renewable, recyclable and biodegradable material that gathered from the outer bark of the Quercus Suber tree. The trees are not cut down during harvest, the bark is stripped in 9 year cycles, allowing it to regenerate for future harvest. A single tree can be harvested up to 18 times throughout its 200 year lifespan.
These coasters are hand cut, shaped and sanded in the Emeraldology Shop. Scrap material is reused as much as possible.
