What Makes This an Eco Friendly Mouse Pad?

Cork is a renewable, recyclable and biodegradable material that gathered from the outer bark of the Quercus Suber tree. The trees are not cut down during harvest. Instead, the bark is stripped in 9 year cycles, allowing it to regenerate for future harvest. A single tree can be harvested up to 18 times throughout its 200 year lifespan.

In fact, this cork material is actually carbon negative, since the trees absorb more carbon that is produced during production.

We upcycle Amorim Wise cork material and repurpose in small batches. This eco friendly mouse pad and our coasters are hand cut, shaped and sanded in the Emeraldology Shop. We reuse as much material as possible and compost scraps as a last resort!

This sturdy, stain-proof material is easy to clean and will last and last. Just wipe with a wet rag and a mild cleaner. Unlike other cork, our Amorim Wise material won’t chip, flake or crumble.

It’s even dog-proof! (My Australian Shepherd “tested” one!)
